This officer is assigned to investigate all incidents of auto theft, unauthorized use, owner give-up insurance fraud or any other
related thefts involving motor vehicle parts.
The officer follows
through on all investigations until arrests
are made or case is exceptionally cleared or closed out.
This officer is also the auto theft training officer; they train new members of the department in all aspects of auto theft from stolen
car indicators and detection to report writing and charging.
This officer is also the department liaison and speaker to local crime watch organizations, rotary, insurance groups and civic groups that request information from our department on auto theft prevention tips. |
