Summer Casual Help

The City of Scranton Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a few summer casuals to assist with park and facility maintenance this summer. This would be a temporary position (up to six months).

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mowing parks and green spaces.
• Preparing athletic facilities for usage.
• Picking up trash from park receptacles.
• General park maintenance, including minor tree trimming, repairs, painting, planting and fertilization/mulching of plants.
• Minor equipment maintenance.
• Facilities and building maintenance, including cleaning and repairs.
• Other duties as assigned by Parks and Recreation staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Landscaping experience preferred but not required.
