DESCRIPTION:Do you know an older person who is lonely\, isolated\, or unable to get out of their homes due to caring for a loved one this Thanksgiving. We can help! \n\n\n\nUnited Way\, Lackawanna County\, and Meals on Wheels are are partnering to deliever a prepared Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday\, November 22\, 2023: to include (no substitutions):  \n\n\n\n\nTurkey\n\n\n\nStuffing\n\n\n\nMashed Potatoes\n\n\n\nGravy\n\n\n\nRoll\n\n\n\nMixed Vegetables\n\n\n\nMilk\n\n\n\nPumpkin Pie\n\n\n\nCinnamon Apples\n\n\n\n\nMeals are provided through Meals on Wheels and will include information on programs available through the Lackwanna County Older Adult Isolation Collaborative. \n\n\n\nRegistration for referrals & volunteers is due by Friday\, November 10\, 2023 \n\n\n\nTo refer someone\, age 60 or older\, contact Lauren Fitzgerald at the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging\, 570.963.6740 ext 1450\, or email fitzgeraldl@lackawannacounty.org\, with the name\, address\, and phone number of the person(s) who the meal will be deleivered to. \n\n\n\nIf you or your organization are interested in volunteering to prepare or deliver meals in Lackwanna County\, please contact Mike Castellano at The United Way\, 570.343.1267 ext. 311\, or email mcastellano@uwlc.net \n\n\n\nVolunteers will be needed on either Novemeber 21(food prep/package) or November 22 (food prep/package & delivery)
