DESCRIPTION:The West Scranton Youth Center is requesting a temporary street closure for a family-friendly community celebration on August 22\, 2026\, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event will include a flag-raising ceremony\, dedication of a memorial honoring veterans and retired law enforcement officers\, youth-led patriotic activities\, music and entertainment\, children’s games and activities\, food and refreshments\, and tours of the Youth Center. The event is intended to bring the community together in recognition of those who have served our country and community while providing a safe and welcoming family event for local residents.
