Lifeguards – Indoor and Outdoor Pools

Minimum age – 15 (16 and under will require working papers)

Qualifications:

• Ability to work outside for long hours, in varying weather conditions.
• Responsible and willing to take initiative when necessary.
• Good communication skills; with guests, coworkers and management staff.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Prospective Hours:

• Indoor (Year Round):
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Outdoor Pools (Memorial Day – Labor Day)
  • Sunday to Saturday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM 

Certification and Clearance Requirements:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications
• PA Child Abuse Clearance
• State Police Background Check
• FBI Fingerprinting Background Check

(All certifications and clearances will be reimbursed by the city after starting employment; transaction receipts required)
