City Hall Closure for Tuesday, February 13

February 12, 2024

In anticipation of winter weather and heavy snow fall, Scranton City Hall and Weston Field will be closed on Tuesday, February 13.

To allow for the Department of Public Works to plow the streets quickly and completely, the City will be issuing a parking ban for downtown starting at 12:00AM on Tuesday and remaining throughout the day. No cars should be parked in street parking spaces from Mifflin Ave. to Jefferson Ave. and Lackawanna Ave. to Mulberry St. GrowAmerica offers discounted parking garage rates during snow emergencies at $6.00 per day.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has indicated a Winter Storm Warning for Monday evening continuing into Tuesday morning. Residents are advised to view the NWS Forecast Office in Binghamton, NY, which covers Scranton, for continued weather updates: https://www.weather.gov/bgm/. As icy road conditions are anticipated, drivers and pedestrians should utilize caution when deciding to travel.
