Councilman Sean McAndrew asked the following question(s):

  • Councilman McAndrew kindly requests the city Parks & Recreation Director please visit for caucus with Council this month for parks updates and to answer questions from the Council.
    • The City will work to schedule for a caucus.
  • Regarding the new Nay Aug Park Manager, Mr. McAndrew asked if the park manager may be tasked with locking the city parks at night, most notably when the pool season closes? He referenced the ongoing issues with youths visiting the parks at night, most notably at Weston Field.
    • The Nay Aug Park Manager will lock the Nay Aug courts.
  • Councilman McAndrew kindly requested if SPD Chief Thomas Carroll may come to a public caucus related to Council request regarding cameras in Pretzel Park and other areas of the city.
    • The placement and operation of the City’s camera network is essential to the operation of the Scranton Police Department. The city does intend to address the request for a camera in Pretzel Park.

Council President Tom Schuster asked the following question(s):

  • Mr. Schuster shared a resident’s concerns about potentially hazardous trees at 417 10th Avenue.
    • The tree hazard has been referred to Code Enforcement. The team intended to visit 417 10th Avenue on June 30.
