City of Scranton Recycling, Refuse Pickup to be Impacted April 16

April 15, 2024

Residents whose refuse and recycling is normally picked up on Tuesdays will experience some delays this week.

Traffic is expected to be impacted throughout Scranton on Tuesday, April 16, and potentially continue into Wednesday, April 17, which will cause service delays from the Department of Public Works (DPW).

No recycling pickup will occur on Tuesday. Tuesday’s normal recycling routes will be completed throughout the remainder of the week. Residents should place recycling out for pickup Tuesday afternoon or evening for Wednesday morning.

Residents with questions about recycling and trash pickup after Tuesday may call DPW at 570.348.4180
