Introduction
We’re building a stronger, safer community that works for everyone. Our 2025 City Budget prioritizes law enforcement investment, youth engagement, safer streets, & fiscal responsibility, with no tax increases for Scranton residents.
Public Safety
Public safety is at the forefront of our 2025 priorities. We’re committed to keeping Scranton safe by investing in our Scranton Police Department and strengthening partnerships with Lackawanna County and the Scranton School District to make our neighborhoods safer while focusing on youth engagement.
Partnerships
From major projects to operational efficiency, we’re working with our community and governmental partners to create a safer city with an excellent quality of life and great schools – because building a better Scranton takes all of us.
Safer Streets
With our 2025 Street Safety Initiative, we are investing millions of dollars in safety upgrades across Scranton. From filling potholes faster to upgrading crosswalks, replacing more street signs to slowing down speeders, we’re committed to enhancing road safety and improving neighborhoods citywide.
