If you have received a letter regarding being a landlord or property manager and you are not. There are a number of reasons the letter may have been sent to the address on file. They include not having a homestead exemption – previously being registered a rental – the county site having the property listed as multi unit parcel – mixed use or unknown. Also, if the address does not match the parcel address.
Anyone who has received this letter in error please contact our rental registration manager at 570.348.4193 Ext. 4555 or email Rselemba@scrantonpa.gov or send a text message to 570.702.5726 with the address of the property stating it is not a rental.
The rental department will remove the property from the mailing list and respond with the reasoning for it being a suspected rental.
