Mayor Cognetti joined Mayors from Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Hazelton, Nanticoke, Pittston and Kingston asking elected officials to adopt legislation to appeal Act 43, as well as requesting that municipalities be allowed to set their own firework regulations to protect their residents’ safety.
Residents can ask for the repeal of Act 43 by downloading, signing and sending the letter to Governor Wolf, Senator Flynn and Representative Mullins at their respective addresses given.
