The Civil Service Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00pm (noon) in the Community Room at Nay Aug Park. 

City Council Meeting

Scranton City Council will hold their regularly scheduled weekly meeting on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at City Hall in Council Chambers. The Council will hold a caucus at 5:45 P.M. The meetings are also live streamed on ECTV’s Youtube Channel.

Scranton Redevelopment Authority

The SRA meets at 12:15pm on the first Wednesday of each month in the Community Room at Nay Aug Park.

Historical Architecture Review Board

HARB meets at 5:30pm on the second Thursday of each month.  A yearly ad was placed in the Times with dates and time.  This Board is meeting via Zoom/ECTV until further notice.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Street Procession

To celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Hispanic community of the parishes of St. John Neumann and St. Paul of the Cross will begin the day’s celebration at 3:00 AM with a street procession from St. Peter’s Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave, to St. Paul of the Cross Church, 1217 Prospect St.

Resurrecting Audubon School Tradition to the General Public

String popcorn, cranberries, apples, and tangerines to feed birds for the winter.  Bring your completed project to Nay Aug Park on December 17th at 3 PM. You can hang them on the newly planted pine tree and sing Christmas Carols!

Family to Family Christmas Food Basket Giveaway

Scranton Cultural Center 420 N. Washington Ave., Scranton, Pennsylvania

The Friends of the Poor Family to Family Christmas Food Basket Giveaway will be held December 20th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM in front of the Scranton Cultural Center. It will be a drive-through or walk-up event. No pre-registration or documentation is required.
